The DAR recognizes Jackson Quilters

On Monday, October 28, 2024 the Annandale Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) awarded the Jackson Quilters Guild a certificate of appreciation for their work in crafting and presenting Quilts of Valor to Veterans of Military Service.

The award was presented by Beth Herring and Myra Cook. Beth and Myra are both members of the Annandale Chapter of the DAR with Myra serving as Chapter Regent. Chapter Regent is a position equivent to president. They presented the award to Melanie Christopher, representing Jackson Quilters. Melanie has served in 2024 as the Jackson Quilters president.

Quilts of Valor (QOV) Foundation is an organization established to give quilts to US Veterans that have served this country. Jackson Quilters is a member group of the QOV.
